Duration
2 weeks + phased rollout

Challange
Even after tapping 'Activate' on Mercado Libre's credit line widget, users were dropping off at a confirmation step meant to reassure them, not slow them down.
The redesign focused on removing a redundant confirmation without losing the value proposition it carried, so activation felt immediate without sacrificing trust.

Goal
The aim was to reduce drop-off in a critical financial flow while preserving the messaging that helped users understand what they were activating.
The result: a one-tap activation flow that cut drop-off dramatically, rolled out across Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico without compromising approval quality.

Solution
We removed the confirmation step for users who had already signaled intent, and moved the value proposition into the widget itself through rotating messaging.
Built together with Product in Argentina and Engineering in Colombia, the flow was validated in two weeks, adapted for three markets, and rolled out in phases, starting in Brazil, where results were confirmed before expanding.
